Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about training at Everyday Athlete Gym in Port Dundas, Glasgow. Still stuck? Email admin@everydayathletegym.com.
What is Everyday Athlete Gym?
Everyday Athlete Gym is a coach-led fitness community in Glasgow. We offer EDAFIT functional fitness, Muay Thai, boxing, open gym and personal training. We make high-quality coaching accessible to every level, from complete beginners to competitive athletes, without the ego or intimidation.
How much is the 7-day trial?
The 7-Day Trial is £15. It is a one-time offer for new local members and gives you seven consecutive days of access to EDAFIT, Muay Thai, boxing and open gym. It is the easiest way to see if we are the right fit before you commit to a membership.
Who is the trial for?
The trial is for local residents in Glasgow and the surrounding area who are considering a full membership. It is not for visitors from out of town, it cannot be combined with other intro offers, and trials cannot be run back to back. If you have already done a trial or intro offer, the next step is a membership or drop-ins.
What is the best way to get started?
For EDAFIT, we ask all new members to complete a Getting Started session. In this one-off session a coach guides you through the key movements and class structure so you feel confident in your first workout. It costs £40, and that amount comes off your first month if you decide to join. For Muay Thai, you are welcome to come along to any evening class, Monday to Thursday.
I have never done functional fitness or Muay Thai before, can I still join?
Absolutely. Most of our members started exactly where you are. We offer beginner-friendly coaching, a Getting Started session and scalable workouts so you can build confidence at your own pace. We look after you from day one.
What should I bring to my first class?
A water bottle, comfortable workout gear, clean indoor trainers and a good attitude. We look after the rest. For Muay Thai, bring your own gloves and ideally shinguards, though we have loaner gear if you are just getting started.
What is included in a membership?
Every membership includes unlimited access to EDAFIT, Muay Thai, boxing and open gym, plus full access to our member app, Wodify. Inside Wodify you will find bonus programming including EDA Flex (functional hypertrophy), Mobility, Compete for advanced athletes, and EDA 40 for efficient 40-minute workouts.
Can I bring a friend to try a session?
Yes. Friends are welcome to drop in for a session. It is £15 and can be booked online. The EDAFIT class is perfect for first-timers, with a friendly vibe and beginner-aware coaching. For Muay Thai, no Getting Started session is needed, they can jump straight into any evening class, Monday to Thursday.
Is there parking at the gym?
Yes. There is free parking right outside the gym on Borron Street.
Where is the gym located?
We are at 100 Borron Street, Port Dundas, Glasgow, G4 9XG, on Borron Street itself, not within the business park. We are a few minutes from Glasgow city centre, with free on-site parking and easy access via Cowcaddens Subway.
Do you offer classes for kids?
Not at the moment.
Can I pause or freeze my membership?
We do not offer standard membership pauses. Memberships are billed by direct debit and require 30 days' notice to cancel. If you need time off, you can cancel with notice and rejoin when you are ready, and a new membership begins on your return. We structure it this way to keep things fair for our coaching team and our capped membership numbers.
How do I cancel my membership?
We require 30 days' notice to cancel any membership. All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to admin@everydayathletegym.com. Your 30-day notice begins the day we receive your request, and you may be charged one final billing cycle depending on when your next payment is due.
